Fulton County Sheriff Source
The official sheriff page for Fulton County gives phone and lobby contact details for warrant questions.

That sheriff page posts no warrant search of its own. That gap is why a Fulton County warrant check still runs through the clerk and the courts.
Active Warrants in Fulton County
An active warrant is a court order still open for service because nothing later has ended it. Only current court and sheriff data can settle that. In Fulton County, the Fulton Circuit Court or Fulton Superior Court issues the warrant, the Fulton County Clerk records the court events, and the sheriff or another authorized officer serves it. No private list can fill those roles. The Indiana warrant FAQ notes that MyCase can show warrant information inside a public criminal case. The same FAQ says Indiana has no public website that searches all arrest warrants, and MyCase has no warrant-only search. So a Fulton County warrant search means finding the case first, then confirming with the court.
Fulton County Publishes Service Counts
The Fulton County monthly sheriff statistics are aggregate reports, not an active-warrant roster. The April 2025 report logged 12 criminal warrants served by patrol, along with 73 criminal case investigations, 126 jail bookings, and 109 releases. Those are one month's work totals for Fulton County. They say nothing about how many active warrants remained open.
Service is an event, not an inventory. Any attempt to subtract served warrants from another count would invent a number the Fulton County report never gives.
How the Fulton County Active Warrant List Works
Fulton County publishes no official active-warrant list, so there is no refresh schedule, field set, export, or complete-list promise anywhere. The practical substitute is a two-stage warrant check. Search MyCase for a public Fulton County case, then ask the Clerk of Courts what current warrant status the official record can disclose. When the assignment is unclear, check both 25C01 Fulton Circuit Court and 25D01 Fulton Superior Court. Juvenile matters go to Circuit. Infractions, misdemeanors, and traffic felonies go to Superior, while other felonies rotate under the local rules. A city or town search will not find a separate municipal court, because none appears in the current Fulton judicial structure. Note: Fulton County posts no active-list update cadence, so an empty online search never guarantees that no warrant exists.
Fulton County Warrant Status Chain
Warrant status moves through separate official steps. A judge orders the warrant. The clerk issues and records it. The sheriff or another authorized officer may serve it and return that information to the court. Later, the Fulton County court may recall or quash the warrant, meaning set it aside. Each step can reach the public case summary on its own schedule.
Issued → delivered for service → served or returned → recalled, quashed, or otherwise resolved.
- Issued
- The court has ordered and the clerk has processed the warrant.
- Served
- An authorized officer has acted on the warrant.
- Returned
- Service information has been sent back for the court record.
- Recalled
- The issuing court has withdrawn the warrant through a later order.
- Active
- A current status conclusion that must come from the responsible official record.
An old MyCase line may show one step and miss the rest. Clerk confirmation closes that gap for Fulton County cases.
What an Active Warrant Shows
A public case summary or a releasable clerk record may show some of the fields below. Fulton County has no public roster to draw them from. The cause prefix identifies the court, but it is not a warrant number.
| Court and cause | Fulton Circuit 25C01 or Fulton Superior 25D01 with the case sequence. |
|---|---|
| Warrant type | Arrest warrant, bench warrant, or another court label. |
| Basis | Information, indictment, failure to appear, or another order where public. |
| Issue date | The date of the warrant event, not proof of today's status. |
| Bond | An amount or conditions if ordered and public. No current Fulton warrant schedule was located. |
| Service or return | A later event recorded by the clerk or sheriff. |
| Restriction | A sealed, confidential, excluded, or redacted record notice. |
The clerk file is the official record for Fulton County. MyCase can carry errors or omissions and never replaces that file.
Fulton County Clerk and Sheriff Roles
The Fulton County Clerk of Courts keeps the criminal dockets, bonds, and warrant-related documents for both local courts. The office sits at 815 Main Street in Rochester, lists 574-223-2911 with fax 574-223-8304, and is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ask which court holds the file and what public status it can release. The Fulton County Sheriff's Office handles law-enforcement contact and service records. It lists 574-223-2819 and a 24-hour lobby at 2006 Sweetgum Road. The jail there lists 574-224-5630. A jail question asks who is in custody. A clerk question asks what the record shows. Neither number is a dedicated warrant hotline.
| Route | Best question | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| MyCase | Does a public case show a warrant event? | Not the official record. |
| Clerk | Which court and cause number hold the record? | Cannot give legal advice. |
| Sheriff | What public law-enforcement channel applies? | No online roster or phone-confirmation promise. |
| Jail | Is a person already booked? | Custody is not warrant status. |
Most-Wanted Lists and Warrant Roundups
Fulton County posts no official most-wanted roster, warrant roundup, amnesty event, or warrant-clearing clinic. Names, photos, and allegations from private sites should not be trusted or shared. The sheriff's page is the reliable contact point.
Key point: Check the official Fulton County Sheriff's Office for current agency notices and contact details.
The absence of a posted roster does not mean Fulton County has no active warrants. It means the county offers no public complete list at that source.
Federal fugitive work belongs to the U.S. Marshals Service and its Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. Those programs are not Fulton County warrant databases. Never approach anyone based on a notice.
When Fulton County Records Disagree
Records sometimes clash. An online case summary in Fulton County may show a warrant event while the later order sits outside the public view, and a sealed charging document can hide the reverse. When two sources disagree, note the court, cause number, event date, and the exact status words each one uses. Take that to the clerk and ask for the latest public court entry. Leave the sheriff out of it; that office only handles releasable service and law-enforcement records.
- Confirm that the name match belongs to the right person.
- Check both Fulton court identifiers if the assigned court is unknown.
- Separate an issue date from service, return, and recall dates.
- Request the releasable official record from its custodian.
- Speak with an Indiana lawyer before choosing surrender, bond, or a court filing.
Fulton County's NextRequest page offers no public portal access right now. A written APRA request should still work: name the office, the record type, the court or agency, and a date range with reasonable particularity.
Restricted Fulton County Warrant Records
Indiana Rules on Access, Rule 5 lists the court records that stay closed, and the list is broad. Sealed files, juvenile records, mental-health material, and parts of investigative process all sit outside public reach in Fulton County. Even a public criminal case may show only some sentencing documents, and a search warrant or its affidavit can be withheld while other docket facts stay open. APRA does not override a court seal. Rule 9 offers limited paths forward where authorized: a waiver, a court order, or a verified request. Ask the clerk, since a clerk may release a redacted portion or explain the right request method. Watch the screens, too. A no-result screen and a restricted-result screen mean different things. Neither one is an all-clear certificate for outstanding warrants.
Note: Ask the custodian to state the legal basis for any withholding or redaction instead of guessing why material is absent.
If Your Name Is on the List
Fulton County publishes no official active list, so treat any claimed listing as a lead that still needs verification. Check MyCase and the Clerk of Courts yourself. Never pay an unknown caller or a private site. Once a warrant is confirmed, an attorney can weigh voluntary surrender, bond, and whether a motion to recall or quash fits, since Fulton sources publish no standard recall form, walk-in policy, warrant fee, or bond schedule.
Important: Consult an Indiana lawyer before appearing or surrendering; only the issuing court can determine whether a Fulton County warrant is recalled or resolved.
Court staff can explain filing and record procedures, but they cannot pick your legal course. The sheriff can describe its public contact channel, though it does not decide recall. For the fuller picture, the Fulton County warrant records overview sorts out the court, clerk, and sheriff steps.
